Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
These Terms govern your use of OpenZen (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
OpenZen is a subscription AI chat assistant offering multi-model access, scheduled tasks, and optional connectors to third-party accounts (Google, Slack, Notion, and custom MCP servers) that let the assistant act on your behalf when you ask it to.
2. Accounts
You’re responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law, or the rights of any third party.
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or abusive content through a connected account (e.g. Gmail, Slack).
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, security controls, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or intended to deceive.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Connectors and third-party accounts
When you connect a third-party account, you authorize OpenZen to take actions on that account only in response to your own requests (in a chat message or a scheduled task you configured). You’re responsible for the consequences of actions you ask the assistant to take on a connected account (e.g. sending an email, posting a message). Connected services are provided by their respective companies and are subject to their own terms; we’re not responsible for their availability or content. You can disconnect a connector at any time.
5. Subscriptions and billing
OpenZen offers Free, Pro, and Max tiers with different monthly usage allowances. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless canceled beforehand; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Usage allowances reset monthly and do not carry over.
6. AI-generated content
Responses are generated by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose. Review anything important — especially before sending an email, creating a calendar event, or posting a message on your behalf — before relying on it.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, OpenZen is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including actions taken through a connected third-party account at your request.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or misuse of the Service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
